Introduction
Ha Giang is known as “Final Frontier of Vietnam” and shares a 270km border with neighbouring China. This mountainous area is off-the-beaten track and goes unnoticed by many though it’s gaining popularity lately. It is blessed with beautiful karst mountains, stunning steep passes, long and winding roads, fields of buckwheat flowers and tranquil villages of diverse ethnic minorities. This trip will take us through the heart and soul of Ha Giang to witness its picturesque landscape and the gorgeous faces of minority ethnics.

IMPORTANT NOTICE. This is meant to be a "free and easy" budget trip. Participants should be relatively fit, with a good sense of humour, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similiarly assorted types! Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun!

For the duration of the trip, we use a chartered bus. All meals and entrance fees are included in the cost, excluding your stay in Hanoi. B/L/D, stands for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. The accompanying local guide has several years of experience covering this area. Its quite important participants are able to manage their own luggage, preferably backpacks or softpacks and no "giant" luggages please. Members can opt to fly in earlier or leave later to utilise cheaper fares and/or spend some extra time in Hanoi. Airport bus leaves every 15 minutes at Rm7, taking 40 minutes (29km). Those who decide to fly in earlier can stay at one of the many Hanoi Airport hotels whilst waiting for the rest of the group.
